Empathy and surf

A definition of empathie in 2’40"

Tuesday 22 March 2005, by Dieudonné Dard

All the versions of this article:

An audio sequence where one can discover how practicing surf can help recognize empathy ;-)

Definition of empathy given by Marshall Rosenberg during february 2003, translated by Godfrey Spencer and Pascale Molho (mp3 audio file: 2 minutes and 40 secondes, weight : 2,4 Mo)

Marshall Rosenberg
Empathie et surf (2’40")

And because I feel touched by it’s coherence with the precedent, here is the most important of what Gerry Lopez, a living surf legend, has learned by practicing surf:

Gerry Lopez
Operate in the present (0’35")

I’ve transcribed Marshall Rosenberg’s audio sequence and included it in a webpage that I wrote. This webpage, referenced below, also has some suggested exercises for practicing empathy as well as links to my boogie boarding/bodyboarding videos on YouTube.

    Enjoy!
